The Sales & Education Account reports to the Sales Manager and in dotted line to the Education Manager and who is responsible of the management, performances and training needs of the assigned points of sale and area. He/she will have direct responsibilities on the sales results, he/she will have to ensure the highest level of customer service and he/she will identify and develop all the opportunities related to business and people skills.

The Sales & Education Account will have to develop, instruct, educate and demonstrate MAC values through product knowledge, make up theory and techniques as well as the MAC total services experience. He/she will work alongside with the Retail Managers/Partner Store Managers coaching them in order to build a stronger leadership, analysis and management skills.


  • Setting and guarantee excellent level of customer service according to the Brand standards, observing and giving feedback and developing, where necessary, make up artistry, product knowledge and communication skills in order to establish connection with the costumers.

  • He/she leads by example.

  • Supervise and approve the schedule done by the Retail Managers on a weekly basis, in order to ensure the right amount of make-up artists are allocated for the right time.

  • Monitor daily, weekly, monthly sales results for his/her scope and keep management updated. Analyze sales trends and react appropriately.

  • Assist in ensuring the alignment of all team members to the daily, weekly and monthly store goals.

  • Analyzing goals; develop strategies to improve the performances.

  • Analyzing KPI’s and the training needs, by conducting in store training workshops and coaching in order to improve performances and team member abilities.

  • Lead and measure the effectiveness of business strategies. Adjust action plan and coach Retail Managers/Partner Store Managers to execute strategies and achieve goals.

  • Help provide an atmosphere that motivates, encourages and challenges Retail Artists to achieve business goals.

  • Plan and complete the skills certification process for all the team members based on the store identity.

  • Support the training sessions focused on the new launches and/or on the new customer service tools and all the sessions dedicated to the development of leadership and managerial skills.

  • Support and complete just in time all the marketing/artist relation/PR events

  • Participate to events.

  • Establish and maintain positive and profitable relationships with your Retail Partner(s).

  • Verify the store visual merchandising according to the international guidelines

  • Be proactive in observing the specific needs of the store/area and propose alternatives.

  • Verify the marketing plan implementation and report organizational discrepancies.

  • Ensure that all the locations are correctly managed and the store image is aligned to the Brand standards.

  • Guarantee the right amount of stocks according to the store needs.

  • Guarantee training sessions to the RMs and Generic Staff to manage appropriately stock/best sellers

  • Supervise and manage stock inventory

  • Administration: ensure that all the administration documents are complete according to the deadline.

  • Follow up on the core training activities, analyze store and staff needs in order to maintain a high level of customer service/MAC Experience and performances

  • Plan the recruitment process including verbal and make up interviews in order to maintain the MAC standard.

  • Share on a monthly base a clear and constructive business and performance feedback to the Area Sales Manager and store staff.

  • Establish priorities and set an effective calendar. Use the delegation process to develop and manage people.


  • fluent English, French and Dutch both written and speaking is required

  • 3 years of experience in store in a cosmetics environment as Area Sales Manager or an experience in an Education Department

  • Retail certifications are required

  • Updates/leadership courses and public speaking are a plus
