Financial Analyst (intercompany) à Aalst

A new financial analyst job has just become available for an international medical firm in region Aalst. Do you have an analytical mindset and good communication skills? This job is made for you!

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Change implementation:
    • Become an expert, implement and support the Legal Entity Planning process
    • Collaborate with the finance business partner to transition the defined financial actuals to the COE team
    • Act as a subject matter expert in supporting other intercompany analysts to implement the new process for their entities
  • Support:
    • Be the key contact for every question in relation to the Legal Entity Planning process for EMEA region
    • Work together with the corporate business, planning and analyses team to analyse and improve the forecast accuracy
    • Analyse the main areas with low accuracy
    • Discuss with the responsible finance users to determine and work out
    • Ensure the finance organisation is clear on the planning requirements
  • Continuous improvement:
    • Adapt the process, on a regular basis, by including new learnings-efficiencies through automation-tools enhancement

  • Targets:
    • Ensure accurate and on time budget, planning and forecast cycle for intercompany and below the line accounts
    • Analyse and monitor actuals for intercompany and below the line accounts
    • You perform analyses of processes, controls, accounts and prepare metrics to measure performance
    • You identify/assist in optimization and standardization of processes across Europe
    • You identify the need for training and development in the teams and report on this
  • Projects:
    • Participate in or lead project teams to support the implementation of new business developments by using continuous improvement methodologies in order to facilitate the success of the project

The ideal profile:

  • Relevant business or accounting degree
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft PC tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Visio,...)
  • Strong analytical capability and good communication skills
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, ideally within an international company who work with a shared service center
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, each additional European language is a plus
  • You can work independently but you are also an excellent team player
