Tech/Group Services is looking for an enthusiastic Dev Engineer. A team-player that is technically passionate, proud of his/her craft, solution-focussed and broadly developed. As Dev Engineer you have a positive can-do mind-set and you live the Orange Code Behaviour.
Typical Dev Engineer tasks are analysis and design, building code or configuring 3rd party software packages, performing tests of various types, Feature integration and driving Continuous Delivery improvements.
The Dev Engineer ensures delivery across the end-to-end application chain. He/she understands the complete stack from application to hardware. He/she understands the detailed workflow of the application, expected transactional volumes, the detailed technical behaviour of application servers and databases and the importance of maintaining a high security profile, safeguarding the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of ING data and information assets.
Your work environment
You work within the HR Data backbone team, as part of HR IT area. The team consists of 5 Engineers, responsible for the HR Data backbone environment, this concerns the “datahub” for HR data of all ING countries, with several interfaces to other applications and to the HR Datawarehouse for reporting. The team works according to the Agile/Scrum method, and reports to the chapter lead.
You are a driven Dev Engineer who feels personal responsibility for the quality of your application and its reliability. You are passionate IT with data management as main profession, you are able to determine the impact of new initiatives and advise on design and approach. You are ambitious with what you and your DevOps team want to achieve. You bring positive energy to the team and have very good social and communication skills. This leads to great performance.
You are accurate with focus on quality, you are convincingly towards stakeholders and HR business, you can build and maintain a relationship, you have organization sensitivity qualities.
Furthermore, you adhere to the ING values and it is evident for you that your behaviour is fully aligned with these values. You are also prepared to take the Banker's Oath.
Education at Bachelor/Master level with a strong analytical background, preferably in IT.
Relevant IT experience: 3 years.
Relevant domain (HR) experience: 3 years.
Understanding of the complete IT stack from application to hardware.
Experience with (HR) data management and data warehouse environment.
Experience with ING IT Risk controls.
Experience with Agile/scrum way of working.
Verbal and written communication skills (English and Dutch).
