As our Intern you will: Become part of a team that strives to improve the win chances of large, complex sales opportunities by an analytical/systematic approach. As a bid manager we are the linking pin between internal departments and external stakeholders(e.g. customers, vendors) and work closely with Account Managers, Product/Market specialists and senior management to identify and implement bid strategy in proposals. The strategy needs to be reflected in the commercial/price offer we make and the technical solution we create. Have the opportunity to work together and follow the coordination activities of a more senior bid manager on one of these opportunities. As we continuously strive to improve our processes to increase the win chance of the offers we create, you’ll participate in improving these processes (e.g. resource forecast, P&L framework, sales pipeline dashboard, proactive customer offers etc.). Based upon your skills and interest a mutually interesting project shall be defined. Not get coffee or make copies for your colleagues, but work on a variety of projects with the Bid management team enabling you to take home some valuable experiences
As a prerequisite to become our Intern you: Work towards a master’s degree in Commercial Engineering, Economics or engineering Are an excellent communicator with a can-do attitude Eager to explore innovative technologies and are curious about how these technologies can bring value for our customers Like to use your analytical mindset Understand key financial basics, i.e. costs, pricing and budgets. Are fluently in English Can commit for a period of no less than 6 weeks Are currently pursuing a degree of which the curriculum allows/obliges you to do an internship Are a European passport holder
Once on board you will: Be part of our Global Bid Management team based in our European headquarters in Sint-Niklaas (Belgium) . The bid management team takes up a coordination role on all large and complex sales opportunities worldwide. Shape your internship based on your capabilities and personal interests.
