Your role & work environment


You will join the Financial Regulatory Reporting squad within the Tribe Finance & Risk.
The activities of this team are twofold :

1) the squad is responsible for the implementation of the Finance roadmap concerning the external financial reports (e.g. FinRep, Scheme A-reporting,…)

2) the squad also supports the business run teams in delivering their periodical regulatory reports

The Tribe Finance and Risk #1 objective is to keep ING Belgium licensed to operate, through the maintenance and upgrade of its Finance and Risk reporting systems, keeping these Safe & Compliant and improving them along the way.

Your key responsibilities


As Customer Journey Expert you play a key role in the change activities :

  • You understand the business needs coming from the regulators or from internal business stakeholders and finetune them into documented business requirements
  • You translate these business requirements into clear functional requirements and you discuss them with the IT members of your squad/tribe.
  • You develop and execute test cases
  • You define the documentation on data, processes and controls
  • You provide change management support to the end users and ensure aftercare

As Customer Journey Expert you also support the business run teams in their monthly, quarterly and yearly regulatory reporting towards the Belgian regulator (NBB) and ING Group.

As a Customer Journey Expert Financial Reporting you are :

  • Holding a master degree, with 3 to 5 years’ working experience in a business analyst role and/or functional analyst role
  • Having a basic knowledge about bank accounting and financial regulatory reporting is a must.
    You have a strong will to further deepen this knowledge.
  • Eager to understand complex application landscapes and process flows
  • You are willing to learn how to explore data in large data sets e.g. SQL queries, …
  • Able to document your analysis in a clear way
  • You take ownership, you are solution oriented and an “out of the box” thinker
  • Owner of a “can do” mentality and “make it happen” spirit
  • A self-starter who is able to find information in an autonomous way
  • A strong communicator with different types of stakeholders e.g. Finance experts, IT, …
  • At ease when moderating meetings with a diverse set of teams
  • Fluent in English, French and/or Dutch is a plus
